blueberries
We headed out early today to the Blueberry pick'n patch--Moorhead's. We go every year since we moved here, so of course we had to go! Andrew and Kathlena loved it. Andrew looked like a pro. He was very discerning about only getting the blue ones..."no red, yuck! no green, yuck!" he would say. Kathlena tried one then spit it out...but this is just Kathlena. Later she began eating them and liked picking them and putting them in the bucket. She would drop one and say "bucket" it was so cute! Her language is really developing quickly. Andrew is parroting whole phrases already and we have had many "Helen Keller" moments where we are understanding and then we both cheer and tell each other "Good job" which is one of his favorite phrases now.
On our way to blueberry picking we listened to our scripture music cd. The kids love music and are learning words very quickly in this format. One of the songs "I can do all things Phillipians 4:13" Andrew really liked we listened to it many times. When we got out of the car J.Michael reached for Andrew's hand and asked him if he needed help to which he responded " I can do all things!" in perfect tune. It was so cute. Kathlena also likes to sing along and dances in her car seat to the beat.
After blueberry picking we headed to SAM'S. Both kids rode in the cart (as sam's carts are so large that they have two seats in front...great for us!) and both kids loved riding in the cart. It was very exciting to taste the food. Andrew loving it and Kathlena spitting it out saying "Nyet" we have started calling her "little princess" as she so picky that she must be royalty... :) Well or she is just a 3yr old...we are working on it though much training to do but we are making great stides in the major areas first. All in all it was a great day and so hard to believe it has only been 2wks today that they have been ours...we all are adapting so well that it seems we have always been together.
